Both Steve and Webhead2006 has informed me about an article regarding Tim Burton's canceled Superman movie that was going to star Nicholas Cage as the Man of Steel. Included in the article is a picture of Nicholas Cage as Superman along with a couple short video clips showing off production work on the movie. It is unknown if the imagery is factual or not but you can take a look at the article here:

One thing is for sure. If this leaked content is indeed from the real Tim Burton Superman film that was canceled, then I am personally glad that it never saw the light of day. So what do you guys think, are you glad that it was canned or would you have preferred this over Superman Returns?

Yea very crazy if that was really what they were going for his film. Now i do like most of cage's films i have seen. And burton has done alot of films i like. Now he does have that odd quality/quark he always puts on his films. Looking now he probably wasnt the best guy for the job. Though even with that crazy look/plans they were going for. It might have been a very interesting film. Now would it be what we fans want probably not.

Hilarious stuff. So crazy it must be true! What on earth does he look like? I suppose after the ending to Burton's "Planet Of The Apes" anything's possible from that guy, and Cage went nuts years ago.

I think it's fake. They found a picture the stereotype that it's glued to Cage since Leaving Las Vegas (that of a drunken excentric) and was even satirized on Mad TV on a sketch and photoshoped this costume and now try to pose it as real.
ReplyDeleteIt may be but I seriously doubt it. And I think Nic is a great actor and would probably do something great and original with the character something the "clone" failed to do.
well the thing is yea it could be a fake. But this fan site its posted from has been true with some other elements from burton's superman.
