Superman put on hold, indefinitely

In what came today as incredibly disappointing news to Superman fans waiting for the next addition to the Superman franchise, IGN has learned that Warner Brothers currently has no plans for a new Superman movie as of now and that the franchise has been put on hold while the company juggles with their legal issues. We have all eagerly been hoping for a new Superman film so I know this certainly disappoints me. I guess we are stuck with comics, cartoons and Smallville for our Superman fix for now and it might be like this for quite a few more years.

  1. Um...duh...

Who wants to go tell Showtime and Jamie that once again Emily and I were proven right?

This is one thing I do wish we were wrong about however as I really wanted to see a reboot sooner than 2013. Don't expect Clark Kent or Superman cameo appearances in any of the upcoming solo films either. From what I've heard, they were all originally meant for Routh and we all know that is over and done.

  2. Yea nothing we havent already known for awhile now. At this rate with all the legal troubles as a dark cloud over things. We will probably not see superman on film to some time post 2013. Once everything is out on the table with both families heirs and wb/dc comics. It would be great if something could be settled upon between now and 2013. But i am not holding my breath there. It just does suck alot that superman is in such a crappy place.

  3. They should just wait for Smallville to finish it's run and take Tom Welling and Erica Durance to the big screen and pick up where the show ends.
