It looks like the famous "Blur" has finally stepped out of the shadows and has given an interview regarding season nine and what we all can expect. The interview also gives the impression that Tom Welling is quite excited about season nine. Check out the rather nice interview here:

Also here is a little spoiler for the episode "Crossfire" that should get people talking:
"The kiss is the first time where it is mutually reciprocated and takes place in real time without any altering time or drug device. This moment, at the end of ep 'Crossfire', sets up Lois's departure in the next ep 'Kandor' and then her return in 'Idol'. However an ominous discovery about Lois's futuristic time flashes leads to a changing revelation!"

It was a heck of a move getting Welling to "own" the show by putting his name to it, especially at this late date. Now he's been made partially responsible for it, moreso than "just" being it's star. Funny how now he's almost excited about becoming Superman. I think it's clear that he is aware that viewers are frustrated with Clark taking so long to get there, and that in "getting there" it does sort of spell the end of Smallville itself.
ReplyDeleteI think too that perhaps after nine seasons Welling may have realised that whether he likes it or not he IS going to be Clark Kent in peoples memories for a while yet.
Personally, if season 9 doesn't die a terrible death, it may be the best and most logical time to sign the guy up to take over the mantle of Superman in some way or another.
Nice pictures from the premire and interesting news with lois and clark. I just got through the interview. Very nice interview with tvguide and tom welling. Its great to see him promoting and doing these things now. After all these years of him being so private. Cant wait to see how the season turns out.

The "real" kiss between Clark and Lois is in fact...real, will be the first mutual, without masks, nor Red K involved that these two characters share.
This will be the set up of Lois no involmennt on the next episode "Kandor" and then her return in 'Idol'.
