Episode 200- Homecoming photos

http://www.supermansupersite.com/08171151.html

The Superman Supersite has posted several pictures which were taken on Monday, 08.16.2010 as members of the 'Smallville' cast and crew shoot scenes from Episode 200, Homecoming.

While not too heavily spoilery, the clothing and the location of the shoot could indicate a flashback or perhaps two of the characters going out on assignment to a location that the 'Smallville' production has not been to in quite some time.

Speculation?

  1. I'm looking forward to the new season, although still baffled as to why they chose to use the Singerman costume!

Still, will be interesting to see a man wear it this time.

  2. I'll just say it. I'm really concerned about this season. Honestly, the show has a lot of unsung resonance with the comics. Obviously it's way too early to tell but this season at least sounds like it'll be a departure from them in some fairly significant ways.

As for the Singerman costume, afreakingmen! Some people have said that the show didn't want to invest in designing their own costume but what it would take to "fix" the Singerman outfit would amount to a redesign thereof anyway. In fact, it's sort of like making a sequel to Singerman itself. "Fixing" Singerman would require so much different stuff that you may as well reboot and make it official anyway.

So yeah, I'm concerned about SV. Big time.

In other news, saw Scott Pilgrim tonight. Trust me, it wasn't my choice. BJ The Bartender has a cameo in it, for those who didn't know. The movie is intentionally kind of hammy and over the top so Routh didn't stick out as much as I was expecting. He was the pink elephant in Zack & Miri Make A Porno. Surrounded by all these comedians with razor sharp timing and he's... Routh.

Anyway, Routh is usually dull, wooden and lifeless so I guess in some ways hiring him to play a character who is dull, wooden and lifeless is pitch-perfect casting... and a sad commentary on the man's "acting abilities". Moreso, in fact, than anything I could write here. As for the movie itself, it's everything you heard.

  3. Oh yeah, also saw The Expendables. I would hope you don't need me to tell you that it was better than Scott Pilgrim. But if you do... The Expendables was better than Scott Pilgrim.

  5. For what it's worth, I just caught "Expendables" and really enjoyed it too. Funny about that!

I'll tell you what else I'm really enjoying....all the fuckin sheep at the Homopage bleating about how much they dislike the Returns suit in Smallville. Shit, a few years ago it was the best costume ever seen on the big screen......now most think it was a failure.

    Funny about that too.

  6. I still hate the suit but at least they fix the color ...no burgundy!

  7. Yep. The SV version has VERY red reds. But the weird thing? Some of the screen caps I've seen of the teaser show the dull maroon/wine thing Singer had going.

Photoshopped screen grabs; the Apologists seem ever on the march.
